I wrote my first 5-star review of Elite Automotive a few years ago, and I continue to highly recommend Elite for its attention to detail AND for standing behind their work. Recently, Elite provided a routine service on my 2016 Volvo S80, and a few weeks later I discovered that something was leaking from the engine compartment. My husband and I did not recognize that it was an oil leak, so we took the car to a Cookeville repair shop where it was immediately discovered that it was leaking from the new oil filter installed by Elite. That shop replaced the oil filter and re-filled the oil reservoir. When I phoned Elite to report this issue (according to reports on the internet, this sort of leak often happens when a new filter is installed in these Volvos, b/c of the difficulty of getting the new filter and the gasket seated just right), they were remarkably helpful. Not only did they reimburse me for the costs of replacing the oil filter and cleaning the engine after the leak, they also gave me a voucher for a credit on my next service at Elite. Super customer service, courtesy of owner Sean, aided by Service Manager Kevin!! I already knew that these guys are terrific diagnosticians. The following is my review from a few years ago: I have driven Volvos for 30+ yrs and, since moving to Cookeville, I have found that driving to dealerships in either Nashville or Knoxville for routine servicing was really inconvenient. I was delighted to learn about Elite Automotive Specialists and how they use the same parts that are used by the Volvo service centers, and that Elite has access to the same diagnostic equipment and software that would be used at a Volvo dealer. I recently visited them for a 40,000 mile service, and to check a "low voltage" warning regarding my battery. The Elite staff discovered that the problem was caused when a local tire and battery repair company replaced my battery with one that did not meet the specs for my 2016 model, and that shop's failure to register the battery with the car. Who would have thought that getting a battery replaced by a shop that was not adequately familiar with the requirements for my Volvo could create such problems? That was certainly a learning experience for me. Fortunately, Elite's repair of the problem prevented damage to my car's electrical system. The Elite service advisor James explained all the issues related to the battery problem, as well as summarizing the 40K service findings. I highly recommend Elite for anyone who wants excellent service AND a repair shop that stands behind their work.
